ABNA24 - Professor Christophe Oberlin, a renowned French surgeon and veteran of over 30 medical missions to the Gaza Strip, has released a video message expressing profound solidarity with the Iranian people following a tragic attack on a school in Minab.

Professor Oberlin, who has served as a volunteer at Gaza's Al-Shifa Hospital for over twenty years and treated hundreds of war casualties, conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the children killed in the recent incident.

"I send a message to the families of the many children who have been killed in Minab city, in the school," Dr. Oberlin stated. He reflected on his personal connection to the region, recalling his time as a medical student traveling through Bandar Abbas and Minab, where he experienced the hospitality of the "very friendly" Iranian people.

From Al-Shifa to Minab: A Call for International Justice

Leveraging his extensive experience in documenting medical evidence in conflict zones like Gaza, Professor Oberlin emphasized that the targeting of educational institutions constitutes a "heinous war crime."

"I am convinced that many proofs of this heinous war crime have been collected," he noted, stressing that such evidence must be presented to the international community.

The French professor, who has led nearly 30 medical missions to the besieged Gaza Strip, argued that regardless of technical jurisdictional hurdles, a comprehensive report must be delivered to the International Criminal Court (ICC). He underscored the necessity of holding those responsible accountable for crimes against children on the global stage.

Dr. Oberlin concluded his message by reaffirming his commitment to the victims, stating that his objective is to contribute to international legal efforts to ensure justice is served for the families of Minab.
